People use social media to report emergencies or call for help. It states they expect government responce agencies to be actively engaged using technology. They did a survey 99 % adults said they should monitor their websites and social media netowkrs so they can respond faster and help.

     There trying to show methods in social media to help in case of an emergency. it states," Social media tools allow emergency managers to disseminate infromation to wider audiences interact with the public monitor social media networks to get a better sense of whats happening on thr ground during a crisis."
     Emergency managements in San Franciscos has a presence on facebook and twitter and youtube as a way to responce about an emergency. They encourage twitter followers to sign up for those alerts and alert SF subscribers to use twitter. 
      They are monotoring send recieved messages, The conversations, sources for situational awareness, and collaborate responders. To make America safer in social media is collecting the best practices of the different social media tools available.
