In the video Eyes on the Prize, that part that moved me the most were the parts about the Montgomery Bus Boycotts. How everyone was on the same page, and stayed true to the pact to not ride the buses was amazing and a real act proving dedication to change. No matter the conditions, no matter the distances, the African-American boycotters would find a way to avoid using buses, and it eventually paid off. I can only imagine the feeling that those African-Americans had when the bus company announced the repeal of the rule, whites in front black in back. It just goes to show you that peaceful activism is effective and is able to do change societies. The importance of the bus boycotts is one of large scale, it started off the movement, among other things, that separate but equal would no longer be able to stand. Helping give African-Americans the rights they had deserved for so long.
